VoiceValet and OpenPhone’s Integration Prerequisites

It is a good idea to get everything properly in place in advance to ensure the integration of OpenPhone and VoiceValet is established successfully and without any disruptions. Make sure you’ve completed the following:


● An active OpenPhone account with admin access.

● A VoiceValet account created.

● Your VoiceValet AI agent set up and assigned a phone number.

● Your VoiceValet number must be a US or Canadian number for OpenPhone forwarding to work.

● Basic call routing knowledge within the OpenPhone dashboard.

Visit app.voicevalet.com, sign up and create your AI phone agent. After that, you will be given a local phone number.

In the left-hand menu, click Settings, then go to Phone Numbers under the Workspace section. Find and select the phone number you want to connect to VoiceValet, like your main business line. Once selected, scroll to Call Flow and click Edit Call Flow to start setting things up.

In the Call Flow Builder, drag the Business hours block from the side panel onto your call flow canvas. Place it right after the Incoming call trigger.

The Business hours block automatically creates two paths, one for calls received during your set business hours (During hours) and another for calls received outside those times,(After hours), Here you will use the After hours path to route calls to VoiceValet.

To enable the after-hours routing, click the Publish changes button in the upper-right corner. Outside business hours, calls are now routed to your AI agent provided by VoiceValet.

Open the Call Flow Builder for the desired phone number. Find the Ring users block. This is typically where your team members' phones ring for incoming calls. It is usually found after your "Incoming call" trigger or on the "During hours" path of your "Business hours" block.

If no one answers within this time (including when all users are busy), the call is marked as unanswered.
